INTRODUCING SWAT: SPECIAL WOLF ALPHA TEAM
They're tight
They're on target
They're as alpha as men can get.
The Dallas SWAT team is hiding one helluva secret . . . they're a pack of wolf shifters.
The team of elite sharpshooters is ultra-secretive—and also the darlings of Dallas. This doesn't sit well with investigative journalist Mackenzie Stone. They must be hiding something . . . and she's determined to find out what.
Keeping Mac at a distance proves impossible for SWAT team commander Gage Dixon. She's smart, sexy, and makes him feel alive for the first time in years. But she's getting dangerously close to the truth—and perilously close to his heart...

3 solid, action-packed, suspenseful & steamy stars.
What can I say- men in uniform turn me on and shifters are one of my favorite creatures of the night, so those are one of the main reasons that "made" me choose this book. I can't say that the story impressed me, but I also can't say it was that bad. There were some things I liked about it and then there were some things that the author could have done better in my opinion.
Meet Dallas SWAT team- one of the best agencies dealing with crime and criminals with one big secret that could potentially ruin their reputation- they are a pack of werewolves. Their secret comes in danger when their impeccable record becomes suspicious to one of the famous investigative journalist- Mackenzie Stone who is also the MC of this story.
Mackenzie is certain that there's something illegal going on in the SWAT team and she wants to be the first one who will reveal it to the world, but there's one thing she didn't predict when plotting against the Swat Team and that's their ripped, intense & way too hot leader- Gage Dixon.

~ The things I liked the most about this book were the strong, witty and laid-back main and secondary characters. The chemistry between Mackenzie & Gage was palpable from the page 1 and I liked that the relationship between them two wasn't rushed, but rather slow-building.
~ The thing that in my opinion needs improvement is the poor building of the paranormal world. Some part of me thinks that this book is lucky because I read it after one read I really didn't like and rated 1 star. If I read it after Burn for Me (Hidden LEGACY, #1) by Ilona Andrews which had an amazing paranormal world building, I'm not sure that my rating would be the same or better say it would perhaps be less than 3 stars.
I think that the author should have done more research before including the paranormal aspect in the story in order to make it more interesting and unique. The paranormal world here was quite monotonous and lacked imagination. The story would have been much better for me if there hadn't been anything paranormal and I think that the most of the paranormal fans would agree with me.
I would recommend this book to readers who are fans of above all action-packed stories with sexy men in uniform as their leading characters and a steamy romance mixed with a little light paranormal world.
xoxo
Since I know very little about world building in paranormal novels, I think I can probably enjoy this one. Thanks for putting in on my radar! :)
